Impact + partnerships

The work
behind the work.

Commerce can create opportunity, and culture can create connection. The Monalisaa House is building a platform where those ideas meet.

South Asian artisans & makers
Areas of exploration

Building opportunity
around craft.

Our work intersects with cultural exchange, women's economic opportunity, worker dignity, small-business development, ethical production, and animal welfare.

01

Women & Work

Creating pathways for South Asian women artisans to participate in sustainable livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and wider markets.

02

Worker Rights

Making space for conversations about fair opportunity, dignity at work, and greater visibility for the people behind products.

03

Animal Welfare

Supporting a broader vision of ethical production that recognizes the relationship between people, animals, and the systems that connect them.

04

Entrepreneurship

Helping small producers and artisans bridge the gap between craft expertise and access to new audiences, partnerships, and markets.

Cultural diplomacy

Culture can create the conversations that policy continues.

Monalisaa House uses fashion, jewelry, craft, and cultural programming as entry points for conversations about women's economic participation, worker dignity, ethical production, animal welfare, entrepreneurship, and U.S.–South Asia exchange.

We do not claim to perform diplomacy. We create considered spaces where people from different communities, institutions, and markets come together.

Partnerships

Let's build something together.

We welcome collaborations with embassies, fashion houses, cultural institutions, universities, nonprofits, foundations, businesses, and artisan communities.

Host a Pop-up
Our story

Some stories are stitched across generations.

Long before our first pop-up, there were fabric swatches spread across tables, the quiet music of a workshop, and a teacher’s belief that beautiful things carry the hands and histories of those who make them.

Rooted in a retired fashion professor’s love of Indian artistry, our family’s journey has included 20 years in the export business and more than a decade of fashion shows. In 2025, we began hosting pop-ups-bringing those years of experience out of showrooms and onto shared floors, where a piece of jewellery can spark a memory and a conversation can become a connection.

Today, The Monalisaa House is our way of welcoming you into that story: an intimate meeting place for heritage, discovery, and the joy of finding something made with meaning.
